That's why we were excited to learn that the Austin-based startup Charity Charge is now offering people a new way to donate:

With credit card rewards points.

The Charity Charge World MasterCard awards users 1% back on all purchases, and the money can automatically be donated to any registered nonprofit, religious organization, or public school. We were also intrigued to learn that consumers can apply for the card through Facebook Connect and easily share their donations on social media.
